About Me

My name is Suzanne and I’m passionate about weight lifting, health for life, and sharing what I know. This blog is about helping you become more comfortable in the weight room, and if you already are, learning how to crush it even more.

The past few years were transformative for me: I overcame a fear of hurting myself after a neck injury; I won a long-standing battle with digestive problems; and I feel stronger than I ever have in my life.

Weight lifting makes me feel powerful and beautiful! I love being a woman in the weight room and not being the least bit intimidated by it. I like it when my form is beautiful, the weights are heavy, and the results are rockin’. The best part? Weight lifting is crazy fun.

This year I accomplished my goal of becoming NASM-certified as a personal trainer. I’ve been weight lifting on and off for 15 years and felt the time was right to make my credentials official. Now I’m helping people reach their goals one-on-one… my dream realized while helping others realize theirs.

I believe that to see changes in your body, you need to love the exercise you choose to do. I also believe women should strut their stuff, which means loving their body and not be afraid to show it. You’ll notice I post pictures of myself, not only to inspire but to show the world that I love my body and who I am. Every woman should be able to publicly show pride and self-acceptance without worrying what others say or think. Let’s celebrate each other’s inner and outer beauty and teach our children to do the same.

Be sure to connect with me on Twitter and Facebook! I’ll see you in Workout Nirvana.
